Legal Website

More clients are turning to the internet as a means of finding a lawyer to help with their legal situation.  This makes it more important than ever for a law firm to have a legal website that is running properly and is up to date.  The first impression that is created by your law firm’s website will determine if a prospective client will continue searching your site to discover what law services you offer or if they will exit the site and search somewhere else.  If your website is not professional enough a visitor will most likely not be interested in your firm.

It is important to use your website to let your potential clients know what your law firm is all about and who your attorneys are.  Photos of your firm as well as your lawyers will help people to feel more comfortable when they come to the office in person.  High quality photos will allow them to know what to expect before they arrive.  Communicate with the website visitor what the strengths of your law firm are.  If you primarily handle divorce cases that should be clear to any visitor within a few moments of them entering your site.  Perhaps you offer a variety of legal services in which case you might have a different page devoted to each type of service.

The navigation on your site needs to be simple and easy to follow.  Important information should be easy to find.  For example, basic information such as your contact information, and hours of operation should be easy to find with no more than 1 click.  The content on your site should not be bogged down with too much legal terminology.  Most website visitors don’t read large sections of text but instead jump from one small paragraph to another.  Content should be kept fairly simple while still giving the pertinent information.

A law firm website should help to establish your brand which will set you apart as unique and will attract a potential client’s attention.  The branding on your site will help a visitor to know the tone and mood of your law firm.  It will show off your vision and your mission.  Be sure that the words you use for your branding will definitely be carried out by the services and interactions your offer to your clients.  Your firm should also have a logo that is a good representation of the firm.  It should be one that will make a lasting impression with clients giving you the look of an established law firm.

Your legal website can help to set your firm apart from the competition and earn you more business.
