Law firm marketing recommendation for reducing biography updates without the expense?

Our practice is comprised of attorneys, worldwide. Given the size of our organization and the perpetual shuffling of legal professionals, we’re spending an exorbitant amount of our law firm marketing budget modifying our Web site’s content. Between the new headshots, contacting our Web designer and updating executive biographies, the cost to maintain our site’s updates are almost as costly as one of our partner’s monthly invoicing statements.

Can you recommend a cost effective technique for simplifying the process of updating our law firm’s site without incurring the expense?

____________________________

Web design maintenance is not an inexpensive service. To save money and reduce the time involved in notifying your web design company of site changes, there’s nothing like a content management system to expedite the time and more importantly the overall expense.

If you want to modify the arrangement that you have with your web design company, a content management system can simplify and save your law firm’s marketing budget and time.

In particular, Auctori Law is the one content management system (CMS) designed to evolve with the changing times of any-sized law firm.

In an effort to streamline Web site updates, CMSs enable organizations to modify content, whenever– wherever. Rather then having to send daily or weekly site notifications, Auctori content management systems are designed to give law firms the autonomy to manage their online presence.

In terms of adding, removing and updating attorney biographies, AuctoriLaw is equipped to ease how law offices manage their content.

Develop a distinctive biography for each attorney and or partners of your firm

Make seamless biography updates and modifications

Generate an automatic VCard download

Synchronize updates with other biography and legal site content

Biographies are print friendly and featured within a PDF friendly interface

Click on law firm content management system to learn more about the power of Auctori Law.

The story of how an attorney's struggle to convince the partner's of his firm to approve an easy law firm content management (CMS).

In Part I of the “Confessions of a Reformed Auctori CMS user,” a former colleague helped me realize that Auctori was our law firm’s marketing and web design solution. But, I still had five partners to convince.

On the first Monday of each month, the partners of our firm would gather to review a list of important topics.

When I presented the content management system to my partners, it was the typical response. Everyone chimed in about someone they knew, who designed Web sites. And then, the conversation turned to a remedial understanding about law firm Internet marketing.

Since, I had done my homework, I knew that the CMS with built in SEO was the only viable option for our practice.

After everyone shared their two-bit Web design knowledge, I stood up and asserted,

“So, we concur that Auctori…”

In unison, the other five partners quibbled, “Auctori?”

“We need a systemized web design that eases updates, automatically archives content and solves our search engine optimization requirements for marketing.” I countered.

All of a sudden, I felt like I was presenting the closing argument about why some CMS was an intuitively, designed law firm content management system that was going to maximize lead generation and enhance our attorney’s office exposure.

My recommendations were met with cynicism. Since, I was responsible for our law firm purchasing an $80,000 super duper document printer that the renewable parts were no longer manufactured or even repairable, my credibility remained in question.

Confidently, I persisted “We need a system that saves us money and exposes our site to prospective new clients.”

The room went quiet. I had everyone’s attention.

As I tried to roll back in my chair to stand, I lost my footing. I made a brief fall onto the conference floor.

Like a buoy, I bounced back on my feet and continued, “Auctori has this feature called ‘built in SEO.” It works as our own law firm marketing engine, exposing our firm’s site to our target market.”

“But what does that have to do with our site’s design?” asked the partner who was clearly listening to 25 percent of the conversation.

Annoyed, I answered, “After our site is designed, regular updated information keeps our site in the search engine limelight.”

How does this so efficient if we’re constantly calling the web designer?

“We administer all of our updates. Which means that we don’t have retain the Web design company’s services. Moreover, if we need help, they are always available to solve or tend to any issues.”

Without a trace of sarcasm, the operations manager responded, “Just like the super duper copier?”

Everyone in the room (except for me) chuckled.

As my faced turned various shades of crimson, I tossed the stapled packets of the law firm CMS case studies to the other 7 people. Before, everyone had a chance to review the handouts, I asserted,

“We need a CMS with SEO. We need Auctori!”

So overcome by the power of my words, I jerked the table, bringing down an unsecured coffee carafe all over the law firm case studies.

To be continued.

Our site was exceedingly outdated. It had been seven years since we had set eyes on our law firm’s Web site. We knew it was riddled with design flaws. Remedially, developed from a Front-page template, we never ventured to our law firms Web site. It was out of fear of what glaring architectural, font, and image errors, loomed there. Although we had a steady caseload of clients, we knew we could do better. Companies, SEO consultants and other web design types across the country approached us for the reconstruction job. But, we declined.

It was not until, the partner of our law firm was conversing with his mother and the Web site topic surfaced. The conversation was like an intervention. His mother lectured about the error messages and how any upstanding group of attorneys would publish a site that resembled a Chinese take out chalkboard. Some of our clients even begin to offer their friends Web design consulting services.

Although it was quite apparent that our law firm’s site was in dire need of a major reconstruction, we wanted a new design that would allow us to market our site and make updates dependent of a Web design company,

Based on our budget, law firm marketing and autonomy requirements, our office manager searched for months investigating different law firm content management systems (CMS). It was not until I ran into a colleague, who I graduated from law school, who informed me that Auctori™ was the turnkey solution for:

Law firm marketing

Search engine optimization

Making regular site updates

Not only did the CMS come loaded with easy features, it was at the right price.

Are content management systems compatible with social media networking?

Greetings Law Firm CMS,

Our law firm believes in giving back to our community. An administrator, new to our team, recommends that we post legal advice on our online real estate law bulletin and submit tweets on Twitter. As novices to search engine marketing, is this plausible? If so, can you explain how this works?

Socially Clueless in Omaha

___________________________________

Dear SCIO,

Your new admin is absolutely correct. Before we explain the process, it’s important to understand how search engine optimization works in confluence with social media networking.

Review the following real life example of how Social media networking and content management systems work The topic was covered previously, titled:

Building your Law Firm’s Web Site in a CMS

As for using the content management system law bulletin (blog) to work in conjunction with your search engine optimization strategy, it depends on the type of CMS application your firm uses.

Certain content management systems necessitate painstaking ongoing HTML expertise, as is the case with Godaddy’s Quick Blog. Although, it’s comprised of the tools for the author to inject the HTML coding, the content system does not automate the process.

On the contrary, the content management system, Auctori™ is designed for search engine optimization. This means that SEO is foolproof. With SEO built-in to the structure of the content management system, each post can be configured to tweet your new updates.

Here’s a blueprint of how this works:

Each time your law firm adds new media to the blog, several things transpire:

1) On your Web site and Twitter or Facebook page, content is indexed based on the keywords of your content.

2) Next, the article is fed to major search engines and submitted to RSS feeds.

3) With regular site updates including your keywords reflective of your law firms core competencies, a Web site gains an organically optimized site, or a CMS system with built in SEO (SM)

4) Regular site updates via Twitter and your law firm’s blog innately improve lead generation, as in more finger traffic.

Thanks for your questions.

As you’ve probably noticed, there are tens of thousands of web design companies on the Internet touting their services. And, just as your firm has exacting expertise in a certain area of law, there are companies which specialize in certain types of design. Use the following tips to select a web designer for your law firm’s site.

To expedite the quest for a company to design your Web site, research web design companies that have a specialty in the development of attorneys at law.

Review their portfolio. For obvious reasons, it simplifies the development process if you outsource your site to an agency with corresponding experience. Make sure that their portfolio reflects their expertise. For example, if you click on the following link, this St Louis web site company has a portfolio of law firm sites.

Opt for a company that will enable you to modify changes in-house. Since you don’t want to always have to depend on the web designer to update information consider a company, who can customize a content management system with your discerning requirements.

Also, select a web design company that also provides search engine optimization. It will ensure that your site is appropriately configured to attract the most target specific traffic.
